Process of boards.

 

“The Scavengers” was an in-class challenge to create a set of boards that focused on romance and texture. I chose a setting where romance is not cliché or immediately apparent. My goal was to emphasize that romance is often subtle.

 

These boards represent a world that has come to a dystopian standstill. There is a small group of girls who are focused on survival. My goal was to illustrate how I imagine a world such as this to be taxing on the human spirit, yet beauty and romance can survive. One of the characters has found beauty, and makes a risky decision to share it with someone.
